Until 1917 it was the active vicarage, when it was bought by a private individual, who sold it to the present owner’s Father in 1952. It is still very much a family house, retaining 4 beautiful Adam fireplaces and pictures and furniture suitable to the house. Parts date back to The Doomsday Book, with Queen Anne and Victorian additions. The gardens were laid out by the present owner’s Mother and until a few years ago were open to the public under the National Garden Scheme.
